Review the presidents and world leaders throughout the world with this fun Who Am I? PowerPoint game.

This is an engaging President's Day or world government activity on world leaders for geography, civic, and other social studies classrooms. Students get involved in the learning process and will review 15 presidents & leaders (past & present) around the world to understand the place. This can be used as an introductory before or wrap-up lesson following a World Governments unit. Students will recognize world leaders and understand how they played an important part in government and managing their countries — in both positive and negative ways.

(This lesson is easily modified for time restraints. Simply, choose fewer leaders to cover or remove one of the games. Can be modified for middle school and highschool geography and history classrooms.)

In this product, students will learn about what happened after the delegates signed the United States Constitution, how The Bill of Rights came about, who approved it, and when it was approved, and The Bill of Rights that include the first 10 amendments to the Constitution of the United States.

The notes are adapted to meet your student's individual learning needs. After reviewing and discussing the notes, students will answer comprehension questions to review what was discussed on previous pages, students will read The Bill of Rights and answer questions based on them. In a critical reading activity, students will explore and understand the historical background of how each Constitutional Right came to exist. The provided reading is an easy to read, attention-grabbing resource. The second part of this lesson involves having students delve deeper into their analysis by completing a graphic organizer in which students will:

1. Interpret each amendment.

2. Summarize the historical background of why/how each amendment came to exist.

3. Illustrate: Find an image/gif (or draw) that best depicts the meaning behind each of the 10 amendments. Be creative!!

SUPPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES:

Option #1: This activity will have students vacillate between two different time periods: late 1700’s and current day. The slide presentation will guide students through the ‘Bill of Rights' reading AND prompt student discussion and debate as it surrounds the 1st, 2nd, 5th, & 8th amendments.
