This lesson gives students an introduction to the basics of applying for their first job. This is perfect for a technology, business or social skills class, or a class that focuses on careers. Students learn about the opportunities that may be available to them for their first job and then learn how to apply for the job. They learn about completing a job application, creating a resume in Microsoft Word, and the basics of interviewing with an employer. This product focuses on the following areas - vocabulary words taught and reviewed:" puberty, hormones, testosterone, estrogen, ovaries, pubic area, body odor, uterus, menstruation, period, menses, ovulation, pads, tampons, menstrual cup, testicles, testes, scrotum, penis, shaft, glans, circumcised penis, uncircumcised penis, erection, ejaculation, zygote, semen, seminal fluid, sperm, eccrine glands, sebum, and pimples and acne. Fill in the blank questions are asked regarding the above vocabulary words. All fill in the blank questions are provided with an answer key.

Notes that are reviewed in this packet include:

puberty, changes in boys and changes in girls, eccrine glands, female stages of development, male stages of development, menstruation, male reproductive system, female reproductive system. After each page of notes, short answer questions are provided to review the previous page of notes.

At the end of the product, there are puberty review questions that include true/false questions, multiple choice questions, fill in the blank questions - using a key, and circle the correct answer.

This is a paper based, Summer themed resource. Examples of products featured: Beach toys, coolers, flip flops, sunscreen, towels, etc.

This resource is designed to expose students to a variety of real-world shopping situations. Students are given a prices on products and are asked to look at the money provided and determine if they have enough money. Students will also be asked look at the price of real products and identify the correct amount of money needed. Students will also calculate totals of multiple items

How to use this product:

•Print out and have students complete as a worksheet/ workbook.

•Print & laminate for repeated use for fast finishers.

•Project pages onto the board to complete as a class. Have students take turns coloring or circling the correct amount of money.

•Project pages onto board and have student use the cut out or laminated money to present the correct dollar up amount needed for each question.
