The ability to break words into chunks is important to be able to read words later on! These rhyming cards are perfect for centers or small group practice! These cards give children the experience to practice the skill on their own!

These keyword letter cards will help your students remember their sounds! When you add pictures and keywords research has shown it helps in the retention and retrieval of information.

Included:

• Mnemonic keywords
• Sounds; ai, ay, ee, ea, ey, oi, oy, oa, oe, ow, ou, ue, ew, au, aw, and oo.

I always have my kids create actions that go with the pictures. This allows them to be active while doing letter sounds! Research shows that adding movement to learning can also help in the retrieval and retention of information.

This is a NO prep practice sheet to work on rhyming! It is important that students have time to practice this skill on their own! Color the picture that does NOT rhyme!

The classic game of memory using CVC words! 3 different versions provide several ways to play the game: match word to word, word to picture, word and picture to word and picture, or any combination of the three! Mix and match to increase the difficulty of the game. Includes 85 different CVC words covering short a, short e, short i, short o, and short u. Cards can be separated into individual games for each word family. Print cards on cardstock and/or laminate for durability.

Analysis worksheets for two of Iago's Soliloquies in Othello by William Shakespeare. Contains textual and video analysis plus a psycho analysis of Iago's character. These are excellent for reading the play or discussing Iago as a character in the play. Comes complete with answer key and rubric.

Getting students excited about poetry and figurative language can be difficult. I find that putting it into terms of music often with popular songs makes the process more enjoyable for them and myself.
