This Math Activity can be used many different ways to suit the needs of your class, here are a few ideas:

Double digit Addition with Regrouping Activity #2

This resource includes 40 interactive Google slides, 6 printable worksheets, and an Easel Ready Activity for students to practice adding double digit numbers with regrouping. This math center uses the place value strategy of base 10 blocks to practice solving addition problems with 2 digit addends up to 199. 

The interactive slides allow students to drag moveable base-10 blocks into the tens and ones place to model the addition problem. Students can practice regrouping 10 ones for 1 ten and 10 tens for 1 hundred using this place value strategy. This is a great visual hands-on activity to help students conceptually understand how to regroup numbers so they can be successful with the standard algorithm. Every slide gives students the opportunity to practice the problem using base-10 blocks and the standard algorithm.

The resource also includes a blank worksheet template as well as a blank slides template to create additional problems for your students!

The slides and worksheets are divided into two differentiated levels. The first resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with regrouping 1x  and the second resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with regrouping 2x in both the ones and tens place. Each slideshow contains a video link that models how to add double digit numbers using base-10 blocks. 

This resource can be used in Google Classroom for math centers, independent practice, distance learning, or for small group mini-lesson. Looking for a printable bundle to help your students visualize, draw and understand percentages and decimals? This is part of a larger collection of math manipulatives and visual aides I use in my teaching!

This particular set is built for teaching percentage equivalence. In this set, I've included decimals, percentages and 100s grids for each percentage from 1% to 100% - so there are 100 cards of each - for a grand total of 300 cards on 20 pages. I've thrown in some blank 100s grids which you can laminate and use with a whiteboard marker in your small group instruction! These cards work great under a document camera, for 1:1 or whole group games, for math centres, for your small group work, etc.) You can also use parts as a memory game or they can even be used on a math wall or on your anchor charts. They're great to have on hand when covering number sense, decimal numbers and equivalence to give a visual one-up to your teaching.

These first grade math rings are for comparing two digit numbers. There are activities for drawing, using number bonds, addition sentences, greater than and less than, and more or less concepts to explore 2 digit numbers. Set 1: Students are given a number and must draw the number, make it into a number sentence (ex: 33 = 30+3) and create a number bond based on the number sentence. Set 2: Students are given a number and they must draw their number and then write the tens and ones for that number. Set 3: Students must record if the first number is greater than or less than the second number by using the greater than or less than symbol. Set 4: Students will look at two base ten block number representations and will determine if the first set is more or less than the second set. Set 5: Students will look at two different representations of a number (one side will be standard form and the other side will be either base 10 blocks or tens and ones representations) and students must compare and determine which is greater than or less than the first number. Set 6: Students will look at different number representations and determine if the first number is greater than or less than the second number. This set is slightly more difficult than set 5. Recording sheets are available to record your answers or you can laminate the math ring cards and record your answers directly on the cards. Get your K - first graders excited about math with these engaging Thanksgiving-themed place value worksheets! Designed to reinforce understanding of ones and tens, this 15-page resource offers a fun way for students to practice their skills with numbers up to 100.

This resource is a self checking task card scavenger hunt that works on rounding up to the hundred thousands place. This resource could be done by students independently or within a group to supplement classroom content, practice for classroom assessments or state tests, or used as used as a review. Students will love the challenge and stay engaged in the task!

Students can begin at any task card; they must write the task card letter in the circle in the first box on the student work page. They complete the equation on that task card and record their work in the box on the work page. They will know that their answer is correct by finding that specific answer in the "Previous Answer" section on another task card. That one would be the next task card in their sequence and they would repeat the process until they have completed all task cards. The last task card should lead them back to the original one that they started with. **If their answer is NOT found on any of the task cards under the "Previous Answer" sections, students will know that their answer is incorrect and they need to try again.
