Halloween Math Center Activities | Ordering Numbers Least to Greatest

Ordering Numbers!
Halloween Ordering Numbers Math Station includes 24 themed cards with a a set of 4 numbers 100 and below on each card to put in order. You can decide if you want them to order from greatest to least or from least to greatest, or how about both for early finishers. Cut out cards and hang around the room. Have students take recording sheet on clipboard as they search for each "picture" and record their answer. You get 2 Sets of 12 cards. You can use each set at different times or pool them together for a larger set. Each set has a different colored border and it's own recording sheet. These are great for Math Centers/Stations, Math Around the Room, Math Talk/Number Talk, Scoot, Task Cards, Etc...

This Math Activity can be used many different ways to suit the needs of your class, here are a few ideas:
1. Math Around the Room – cut cards out individually and hang around the room, students take recording sheet on a clipboard around the room and copy problems then fill in the missing parts. (sometimes its great to let the students move about the room)
2. Math Station/Center – cut cards out and place in bucket at a center, students work in a small group at station choosing a card and recording problems and answers (sometimes they work better seated at a station)
3. Math Talk – Teacher shows one card and begins a class discussion about how to solve the problem, having students share strategies and discuss solutions

This paperless math center includes 30 interactive Slides and a Self-Grading Google Form for students to practice adding 3 digit numbers up to 1,000 with regrouping.
The activity includes 20 slides with movable Base 10 Blocks for students to practice regrouping using a place value strategy as well as 10 slides with standard algorithm practice problems. The resource includes a TIME SAVING Self-Grading Google Form to provide students with quick feedback and effortlessly track student progress on this skill.
The interactive slides allow students to drag moveable base-10 blocks into the hundreds, tens, and ones place to model the addition problem. Students can practice regrouping 10 ones for 1 ten and 10 tens for 1 hundred using the base-10 blocks. This is a great visual hands-on activity to help students conceptually understand how to regroup numbers so they can be successful with the standard algorithm. Every slide gives students the opportunity to practice the problem using base-10 blocks and the standard algorithm.

Rounding Task Card Scavenger Hunt (Self Checking and No Prep!)

This resource is a self checking task card scavenger hunt that works on rounding up to the hundred thousands place. This resource could be done by students independently or within a group to supplement classroom content, practice for classroom assessments or state tests, or used as used as a review. Students will love the challenge and stay engaged in the task!
Students can begin at any task card; they must write the task card letter in the circle in the first box on the student work page. They complete the equation on that task card and record their work in the box on the work page. They will know that their answer is correct by finding that specific answer in the "Previous Answer" section on another task card. That one would be the next task card in their sequence and they would repeat the process until they have completed all task cards. The last task card should lead them back to the original one that they started with. **If their answer is NOT found on any of the task cards under the "Previous Answer" sections, students will know that their answer is incorrect and they need to try again.
Step by step directions, (with pictures), are included as well as an answer key with every possible correct sequence that students could have depending on which task card they start with.

Rounding to the Nearest 100: 5 Pages of Practice: 3 & 4 digit numbers

Round to the nearest hundred. This is a packet of 5 pages. One page is for you to print out and give to your students to help them remember when to round up or down. The other 4 pages are practicing rounding to the hundred spot. Students will determine what two hundreds the number is between and which one it is closer to. Then the students will use their knowledge of numbers and round to the nearest hundred. There is one practice page for 3-digit numbers and one for 4-digit numbers.
