I have been using these name badges in my classroom for the past 3 years. I love the feedback I get from Substitute Teachers when they tell me how much they appreciate having students names at the ready. Personalised Name Tags for each student makes for clear communication. Classroom management goes so much more smoothly when everyone knows each other's names.
And we all know, a happy Sub will keep coming back! And in these crazy times, that means everything!
Who can use these name tags:
Teachers of any grade from K-6 can definitely benefit from having these names at the ready. New teachers learning student names at Back To School time. Teachers on long term contract may want these handy name tags when they know they will only be around a few weeks.
I keep a note in my Substitute Emergency plans to let them know where to find the Clip-on Tags in my room.
Where to keep them:
I keep mine attached to student cubby bins so that they know where to find their stuff at the beginning of the year when we are just getting accustomed to the new classroom.
They are so proud the first time they put them on! They feel so 'professional'!
How to use the name tags:
-Open the file
-Fill in Teacher name and room number on the first slide
-Immediately click on the slide, right click, and duplicate slide so you have enough cards for your number of students
-Now fill in student names, copy, cut, and laminate
-using a hole punch make two holes just below the top line side by side
-slip through a snap clip so students can clip the tags to their clothes

Editable ELA Choice Board Templates - Multiple Colors

These are editable choice boards for ELA. I have included 5 color gradients that you can choose from, to help match with your classroom decor! The categories that I have included are phonics, comprehension, writing, spelling, digital, vocab, and blank ones for you to add your own.
What is included are large labels for labeling any supplies/resources that you have for students to use as activities, and individual choice boards for each category with 6 choices. These are the digitally editable parts of the product.
To be able to edit, you will need to open the product in Google Slides, then wherever editable is written, you can click on that and type because it is a text box. You can also add your own text boxes if necessary.
This would be a great product for early finishers and also during your small groups (students who are not meeting with you can choose what they would like to work on)! You could print off each choice board, but what I would recommend is having the choice board for the day projected onto a board/smart board and have students move their names onto where they would like to go! (If you need help finding a way to do this digitally, feel free to send me a message and I will try to help!)

Directions
Introduction:
- Introduce the activity by explaining that students will be writing positive, encouraging messages to help "pump each other up" or express gratitude, depending on the selected title ("Let's Pump Each Other Up" or "Gratitude Board").
- Explain the importance of positive reinforcement and kindness in the classroom community.
Preparation:
- Choose which title option you want to use: "Let's Pump Each Other Up" or "Gratitude Board."
- Print enough copies of the writing paper for each student. You can choose between color or black & white templates based on your preference or the supplies available.
Writing Activity:
- Instruct students to think about a classmate, friend, or teacher they would like to encourage or thank.
- Have students use the writing lines to compose a few sentences about why they appreciate the person or to give words of encouragement. Remind them to use kind words and provide specific examples.
Optional Art Extension:
- If using the black & white template, students can color the pumpkin design after they finish writing to personalize their paper.
Display:
- After students complete their writing, you can collect the papers and create a bulletin board or classroom display featuring their positive messages.
- Alternatively, you can have students exchange their papers with the person they wrote about, fostering a sense of community and kindness.
Classroom Discussion:
- After the writing activity, engage students in a discussion about how it feels to give and receive positive messages and gratitude.
- Discuss how these small acts of kindness contribute to building a supportive and encouraging classroom environment.
- Teacher Tip:
- For younger students, provide sentence starters such as "I like when you…" or "You are great because…" to help them get started with their writing.

First Thanksgiving coloring bookmarks or cards craft with cute illustrations of Kawaii-style Native Americans and pilgrims celebrating the harvest.
These bookmarks could be used as a coloring craft at a Thanksgiving dinner, in the classroom, colored and given out as gift add-ons, used instead of cards, as party favors, or added to goodie bags as gift tags.
For best results print them on thick cardstock paper.
