The Math About Me Back to School Activity is a dynamic and versatile resource, ideal for the first week of math instruction and bulletin board displays. Resource Overview:

Students will answer each question about themselves. Each answer will have numerical value. Once students have answered each question, they will write an equation that corresponds to or equals their answer. For instance, if their favorite number is 7, they might write the equation 3+4=7 or 14÷2=7. You can give specific guidelines to your students about the equations based on their grade level/ability level. Four examples have been provided.
