3rd Grade EFL - ESL - ELD Activities

This is a very practical tool to support elementary writers. It displays different types of descriptive words, sentence starters and many other useful writing elements in both ENGLISH and SPANISH!!! This will make your students feel confident to write great stories! This can also be used for English and Spanish Language Learners as it can help them to build up vocabulary. Teach speech language therapy students or English language learners how to follow 2-step directions containing Before and After! These visual aids and teaching scripts provide a simple way to teach following 2-step directions with these temporal concepts, improving comprehension of multi-step directions.

The Before Beaver teaches students that any direction following the word "before" will come second. We teach this by showing students that anything in the Beaver's tail comes second, because the tail is the second part of its body.

The After Alligator teaches students that any direction following with word "after" will come first. We teach this by showing students that anything in the Alligator's mouth will come first, because the mouth is the first part of its body.

These fun visual strips will keep students engaged while learning to follow these 2-step directions. Smaller visual cards are included to provide even more visual support within the Beaver and Alligator visuals, by placing the cards in the tail or mouth while attempting to follow directions.

Halloween Sudoku

♣ Print out 1 sudoku per student.

♣ Students cut off the right side of the sheet along the dotted line and cut out the missing sudoku pictures. They glue them into the sudoku grid so that all 6 words appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame.

♣ Each word must appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame only once.

Each exercise has four or five practice problems.

In this product, students will review winter vocabulary words. Students will be provided with 12 winter picture cards that they can cut out. Students will be given two different forms of the picture cards - one with the name of each picture card and one without. Once students cut out the picture cards, they will follow the directions on each page of the winter prepositions booklet and glue the pictures where they belong.
