Adaptive Books with a Halloween prepositions theme cover a variety of prepositions (in, on, around, behind, beside, above, and under. This set of adapted books includes three books!
Two books require your students to follow the directions to put icons in the correct place. Each book has eight different pictures to place appropriately in the book. As part of the preparation process, you will want to add multiple pieces of velcro to ensure students demonstrate understanding by their specific placement of the icons.
The third book require your students to complete a sentence. Each sentence is simple, such as "A bat is hiding ______ the cabinet". A picture is provided to help the students understand the sentence to choose the correct preposition.
These books, while requiring some prep work, are a versatile resource that you can use year after year. They are a highly motivating activity for students with a variety of skill levels, empowering you to use them for direct instruction, independent practice, student share outs, or with your Classroom Aides.

The book, Real Friends by Shannon Hale and Leuyen Pham is great for children ages 7 - 13 years old, as they can relate with Shannon, the friends she makes along the way, the friendships she struggles to maintain, the lack of self confidence she has and she becomes more confident along the way, learning that you can have more than one friend, the importance of friendship, how to handle stressful situations, anxiety, conflict, and bullying. Students will follow Shannon along as she figures out where to fit in at home and in school. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and example sentences are presented in the packet. Students can also write vocabulary words in sentences. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. An answer key is provided at the end of this product. Students can also answer comprehension questions towards the end of the packet as well that summarize the entire book.

This book series is great for children ages 7 - 13, as they can relate with what Frank and Joe are doing and what mystery they are attempting to solve. The book, The HBs - The Missing Mitt - Book 2, discusses problem solving skills, working together as a team, listening to others ideas, not accusing others, solving problems, and being a good friend/sibling. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and example sentences are presented in the packet. Students can also write sentences using the vocabulary words. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. Words that students may need help with spelling when answering comprehension questions are provided in this product as well. An answer key is included at the back of this product for all comprehension questions
