This is a book about friendship, getting along with siblings, developing interests, finding oneself, bullying, being a good friend, and being yourself as students navigate middle and high school. This book does not have chapters, so comprehension questions were separated by pages. Therefore, written comprehension skills and multiple choice questions are emphasized throughout this product.
The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and a few example sentences are presented in the packet. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet.

Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events from the Revolutionary War. There are 29 posters or task cards that include many of the key figures and events from the time period.
Secondly, there is a close reading activity - children need to read through an informational text, and then answer comprehension and grammar questions, before completing an extension activity.
Finally, there is an informational text writing unit. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. Ideal for students learning about the American Revolutionary War.

The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text and each chapter. Comprehension questions are placed in order with each chapter. Students will have the opportunity to answer vocabulary questions that are presented throughout this product, before answering comprehension questions. At the end of the product students can answer longer questions about what their favorite part of the book was and who was their favorite character and why.

The graphic novel, Allergic - The Graphic Novel by Megan Wagner Lloyd and Michelle Mee Mutter is great for children ages 9 - 15 years old, as they can relate with the characters. This is a book about friendship, getting along with siblings, developing interests, finding oneself, accepting change, starting a new school, being a good friend, being different from others and embracing those differences, being allergic to something and how it makes you different and accepting that difference. Hamlet | Play Script & Close Reading Bundle | 5th Grade & 6th Grade

Two resources perfect for students learning about Hamlet by William Shakespeare; a play script written for young performers and a close reading activity.

The play script has been rewritten to be suitable for young performers. Hamlet tells the story of a Prince whose father, the King, has just died. His father’s ghost visits him and tells him that the new King, Claudius – who has married his mother – was the killer. Hamlet wants revenge and the story follows a bloody path in which he takes revenge but loses his own life, and the life of the woman he loves – Ophelia.
The play script is a mix of modern English with some of the famous lines from the real play mixed in as well. There are 15 speaking roles, and extra characters for up to 25-30 people. Ideal for theater performances or plays, reading activities or guided reading sessions.
The second activity is a close reading passage about the play. The activity comes with an informational text, comprehension and grammar questions, an extension task, crossword and wordsearch activity.
The activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity for those fast finishers. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of the document.
Time allowance for close reading activity
5 minutes - read through the text individually.
40 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)
15 minutes - Teacher and students go through the text and answers
