Pesca is the perfect hands-on activity for introducing and practicing vocabulary, brain breaks, fast finishers, Fun Friday activities…the possibilities are endless!

• 32 colorful cards in each deck to sample this product

Multiple uses for the cards:

• Matching: Students practice pairing the images with the words in Spanish.
• Flashcards: One student holds up the picture card and the other students race to be the first to say the Spanish word.
• Memory: Choose 15-20 pairs to lay facedown on the table. Students take turns looking for the matches.
• Pictionary: One student pulls a card from the deck to draw and the other students try to guess the word in Spanish.
• Conversations: Students go around and ask each other if they like the food item on their card. Once they have asked, swap cards.

Science of Reading Assessment Tool Tracking Sheet

I created a French SOR Assessment tool to cover all the sounds for students K to 3 in the French Immersion setting (Grade 4-6 Core French) for easy assessment and evaluation. Once I got started on my own testing, I realized I could use a quick look tracking sheet.

I learned how to make the boxes editable and hope it works out for you. (I did ask a few colleagues to try it out first). I am offering it FREE for now.

How to use this product:

1. Open the resource in your preferred program (Adobe, etc)
2. Fill in student names for your classroom(s)
3. Print tracking sheets out for your own students

Have a look at what's on the menu at my kids' school in France. They get cheese every day!!  I'll be adding more menus weekly as I receive them.  There are so many things a French teacher can do with these in class. I have made five extremely versatile no prep printable worksheets available to use along with any and all of these French school lunch menus. Versions 1 - 4 have ten questions each while version 5 has six questions. The questions on these worksheets will have your students learning a lot about cultural differences concerning menu items as well as the amount of time French students get for lunch, why there's no menu for Wednesday, etc.

Free French School Menu #4

Have a look at what's on the menu at my kids' school in France. They get cheese every day!!  I'll be adding more menus weekly as I receive them.  There are so many things a French teacher can do with these in class. Just click here to watch a video in which I'll tell you about some of the ways I like to use these menus with my students.

I have made five extremely versatile no prep printable worksheets available to use along with any and all of these French school lunch menus. Versions 1 - 4 have ten questions each while version 5 has six questions. The questions on these worksheets will have your students learning a lot about cultural differences concerning menu items as well as the amount of time French students get for lunch, why there's no menu for Wednesday, etc.

Your students will find it interesting to see that French kids are offered une entrée, un plat principal, une garniture, un produit laitier, et un dessert every day.

Get your students more motivated in class with puntos. Using these tickets with “puntos” is a great classroom management system when you want your class follow directions. I give “puntos” to my classes when students participate, use their Spanish in full sentences or when transitions are good, taking advantage of every minute that we have. At the end of each day or week we count how many points we have and if we have certain amount, we can celebrate with a “fiesta”, movie or games.
