These sentence diagramming bell ringers will last a full month. This resource contains four Google Slide presentations- one for each week. There is also an assessment for the end of those four weeks to test student knowledge. The daily activities should last 5-10 minutes.

My bell ringers are color-coded. Red slides should be covered on Monday, yellow on Tuesday, green on Wednesday (missing from preview), blue on Thursday, and purple on Friday.
Sentence diagramming is so helpful when teaching students parts of speech and sentence structure. The repetitiveness of diagramming for a bell ringer is extremely beneficial for students. I tried grammar workbooks for years, but my students hardly retained anything. Daily sentence diagramming made them remember their parts of speech, and was an amazing foundation for my students to have when we started forming different types of sentences. They picked up on fixing run-ons quickly as well because of their diagramming foundation.

Have plenty of magazines, brochures, or newspapers on hand for students/small groups to cut out comma examples and paste them under the correct comma rule headings. Fun game to practice present perfect. This is my go-to game when I need to drill some grammar into my students. It's by far the most efficient grammar game. I love it because it's no prep, just PRINT AND GO. And my students love it because it doesn't feel like learning when, in fact, they do a TON of learning. We can easily spend the whole lesson playing battleship and they still want to play even after the bell rings.
It's also a great activity for substitute lessons or when I'm in a time press and don't have much time to prepare for a lesson.
How to play:
- It can be played in pairs or in small teams
- Hide your ships in the left field. They mustn't touch.
- Try to hit the enemy ships in the right field.
- If your enemy hits your ship, indicate that in the left field. If you hit your enemy's ship, mark it down in the right field. If you miss, mark it down as well. If you hit your enemy's ship, have another go.
- To win, sink all of your enemy's ships before he sinks yours.

Singular Nouns and Singular Possessive Nouns Sentence Workbook

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 31 different nouns presented that emphasize singular nouns and singular possessive nouns. Students will learn the difference between singular nouns and singular possessive nouns. Students will review singular nouns and write the singular possessive nouns and will then review the singular possessive nouns and write the singular noun for each noun provided.
The words for each sentence are not in English word order and are scrambled.
