In the French classroom, it can be difficult to find new and engaging ways to grab the attention of our students without falling back on the old standards of 'les mains sur la tete...'

I keep a list of new and fun ways of getting students attention in my notes on my phone and try them out with my students. I love it when they get to the point that they spontaneously answer back.

This is a great back to school activity to get to know your students in music class: Music: Getting To Know You Questionnaire and Your Ideal Music Classroom (Back to School Activity).
