Getting your Core kids to write something authentic and meaningful can be one of the toughest parts of teaching Core... At least it was for ME!

This themed unit will give the students transferrable knowledge for their LA classes and will guide them to creating their very own "bande dessinée" with a spooky twist.

In this 14-pg. unit, you'll find:

• A mini dictionary of 30 common words, expressions and dialogue they can use related to Halloween/scary stories;

• An activity on developing personality traits & mood;

• Students will become familiar with vocabulary for different moods and feelings en Français (nerveux, triste, drôle, déterminé etc.)

• A visual dictionary of common Halloween costumes to inspire their stories;

• 8 examples of possible scene/setting choices to inspire their stories;

• A guide to developing scene and setting with our 5 senses;

• Students will become familiar with vocabulary for our 5 senses en Français (l'ouïe, le toucher, le goûter, l'odorat, le goûter, la vue).

Journée du chandail rose!

Cette ressource vous fournira tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour donner à vos élèves des occasions de discussions et de réflexions constructives sur la journée du chandail rose, l'intimidation et la défense les uns des autres. L'objectif principal de ce document est d'amener les élèves à connaître les signes d'intimidation et à savoir qu'ils peuvent être une partie du problème ou une partie de la solution. Être, Aller, Avoir, Faire + Descriptive French Adjectives - Correct the mistakes - No prep printables

These are simple, fun, and no-prep one page bell ringer worksheets in which beginner French students identify mistakes that have been made in sentences using the verbs être, aller, avoir, and faire in the present tense with descriptive adjectives.

Students underline the mistakes (the verbs are conjugated incorrectly, and the adjectives do not agree with the nouns they describe). Once they've identified the mistakes, they rewrite the sentences on the line provided. Answer keys are included.

These worksheets could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or completed on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools.
