Disguise a Candy Corn Craft Activity, Halloween Craft
By Creative Soul Printables
Get creative this fall with the Disguise a Candy Corn Writing Activity, where students design, disguise, and write about their very own candy corn character!
Contents:
This fun and imaginative Disguise a Candy Corn Writing Activity gives students a chance to bring their creativity to life by designing a candy corn and writing a story to match! This set includes a parent letter to introduce the activity, a brainstorming page for generating ideas, and a final draft planning sheet to organize thoughts. Reflective questions prompt students to think about how their candy corn’s disguise will help it stay hidden. A four-idea brainstorming sheet helps students sketch different disguises, and a blank template lets them draw their chosen design and describe it. Also included are two bubble writing prompts: "I’m not a candy corn, I’m a…" and "Don’t eat me, I’m a…" to spark creative writing. To support the process, there are inspiration examples of disguised candy corns and a final writing page where students can finish their story about their cleverly disguised candy corn.
How the Product is Used:
Teachers will easily prep this activity by printing the 8.5x11 sheets (10 total pages). Students begin by brainstorming creative disguise ideas using the idea sheet and sketching their designs. Once their candy corn is fully disguised, they use the reflection questions and writing prompts to bring their candy corn character to life with a short story. The final writing page is where students pull everything together, sharing how their disguise will keep the candy corn from being seen.
Why You’ll Love This Product:
This writing activity is perfect for blending creativity and critical thinking. Teachers will love how it inspires both artistic expression and writing development. The step-by-step process encourages students to brainstorm, plan, and reflect, which strengthens writing organization skills. Students, on the other hand, will love personalizing their candy corn characters and writing funny or clever stories about how they stay hidden. It's ideal for promoting engagement and individual expression, making writing fun and festive around Halloween or fall.
