The Berenstain Bears Halloween is Sweet comprehension questions product is useful for students that read the book and are getting ready for Halloween. The questions are placed in order with the book. Students can answer these questions as the book is read or after they have finished reading the book or listening to the book. While reading this book and answering these questions, students will learn about the traditions that people participate in when they celebrate Halloween, how to stay safe on Halloween when going trick or treating, why parents/guardians make rules to follow, and the importance of being kind.

Students can answer these short answer questions and multiple choice questions as they read book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished. Teach biomes with Halloween creatures! This lesson is perfect before or after Halloween. Students will analyze graphs and use context clues to figure out which biome each creature belongs to.

Includes...

Teacher note: I would print these, laminate them and put them in file folder with the creature file number on them to make them more mysterious and really get students excited about it! Each group gets one creature and then must identify which biome it belongs to. Buy the bundle for the slides that go along this activity!

Students will answer questions that reflect on a field trip that they went on to a pumpkin farm/pumpkin patch. Questions relate with going to a pumpkin patch/farm, what a pumpkin patch is, is explained, students will answer other questions relating to what they did on their field trip, what the weather was like when they went to the pumpkin patch, what was the first thing they did when they arrived at the pumpkin patch, where do pumpkins grow, the different colors of pumpkins are explained and students will answer the question about what color pumpkins they saw at the pumpkin patch, students will label the internal and external parts of a pumpkin using a key, after they are shown diagrams that are labeled of pumpkins, students will be provided with names of what kinds of popular foods have pumpkin in them and will label the food items using a key on another page in this product, students will reflect on what other items, besides pumpkins were for sale at the pumpkin patch, what their favorite thing was about the field trip, and what kind of equipment they may have seen at a pumpkin patch.

Students will be required to write answers in sentences - short or detailed and fill in the blanks in this product when provided with a key.

What's Included:

• A teach slide for "the why" of speed philosophical chairs
• A slide which includes the rules of engagement for students

The Steps:

1. A central statement will be announced to the class and we will define the two sides

of the debate (Agree/Disagree).

2. You will move to the side

of the room with the position that you intend to defend.

3. A timer will be set for 5 minutes, and the debate will start between the two groups.

4. Be concise and attempt to keep you contributions to less than 30 seconds each. The goal is to have an up-tempo debate, where the arguments for and against the prompt are batted back and forth with quick, verbal strokes. When the timer goes off, the conversation is immediately over.

5. A new prompt is displayed and we start another round of quick debates.
