In this hands on, multisensory activity, students won’t even realize they are learning! In these resources, they will learn letter formation by first building the letter or numbers with doh or putty, tracing the letter, and then writing the letter.

Building letters and numbers with putty and dough is not only a fun and engaging way to learn letter and number formation, but students are working on foundational fine motor skills needed for writing. Students don’t have to use a pencil for writing, try broken crayons (broken crayons help promote tripod grasp pattern), q-tip painting, or fingerpaint.
