Integer Exponents Differentiated Review Activity | Grade 8 Math

Level Ups are a fun way to challenge your students to complete various levels of mastery on working with integer exponents. Aligned to the common core standards, Level Ups provide 5 levels of challenge for your students to complete, starting with pre-requisite exponent and fraction skills all the way up to simplifying complex expressions involving integer exponents.
Students start at level zero and work their way up to level 4, giving them accurate feedback on what they have mastered, and what they still need to work on. This lesson works as a great way to review integer exponents after teaching the concept, or as preparation for an upcoming assessment.

This superhero bundle is super cute. I love all the colors that I was able to include in these play-doh mats. What student doesn't love some superheros?
This bundle includes both alphabet play-doh mats (with both Uppercase and lowercase letters) as well as number play-doh mats (with 10 frames).
The alphabet play-doh mats also have predictable reading practice (for your students that are ready for that). Each letter has a picture of an item that starts with that letter as well as a sentence that your students can practice reading. The picture helps with visual clues for your littles that need that!
The number play-doh mats also include ten frames. Your students can practice one-to-one correspondence while forming numbers 1-10.

Equivalent Expressions Odd One Out - Which One Doesn't Belong

Do your students need practice determining equivalent expressions with exponents, the commutative property, the distributive property, and more with just numbers and with variables? This activity is great for independent practice or group work! There is one page with just numbers and one page with variables.
In each row, there are 3 equivalent expressions and one that is not equivalent. Find the odd one out. Answer Key included. Perfect for a substitute day!
Includes exponents but no negatives.
This would unfortunately not work with the "Which One Doesn't Belong" routine because for these, there is one correct answer for each set of expressions.
Page 2 has expressions with variables that make use of the distributive, commutative, and associative properties and simple exponent rules.
