This is a 25-page resource for Spanish teachers, perfect for beginner learners or native speakers.

It includes:

• Five fall-themed short poems, each accompanied by a vocabulary sheet for students to cut and paste key vocabulary.
• The resource offers three differentiated versions of each poem:
  • a reading version for highlighting rhyming words,
  • a cloze activity for completing the poem with key terms, and
  • a tracing activity for practicing key vocabulary. Ideal for engaging young students in seasonal language learning.

• Analytical Writing Assignment: Challenge students to take their interpretations one step further by writing an analytical paper on a poem of their choice. The assignment sheet contains detailed instructions for how to generate a formalist analysis of a poem (analyzing how the poem's formal features contribute to its meaning). This kind of formalist analysis is exactly what students are asked to generate on the AP Literature exam! Sample paper included. (3 pages)
