How can you use these task cards?

⭐Have the task cards available in makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, as a reward, or available for early finishers to complete using ANY available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Use one card or slide a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet or slide, and discuss as a class.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.

⭐Ideally the goal is to do one challenge a day, but you could certainly allow students to do more than one!

I love silly stories that bring humor and adventure to life for kids, but that also force them to use their imaginations in fun and exciting ways. This challenge task set does exactly that through the loose wacky stories where they are the main character. Easy to Assemble!

When coloring is completed, cut out the picture and then apply glue to the “glue here” area. Roll the picture into a cylinder (or attach to an empty toilet paper roll) and then overlap the edges so that the glue makes contact with the paper. Tape or a stapler also work well if you prefer not to use glue.

Winter break has come to an end and students will soon fill the seats of your classroom. Use this icebreaker activity when your kiddos return in January to engage your learners before diving back into the meat of things!

Students can go around the room and learn a little about their peers time off during the holidays by filing out their 15 question activity sheet by writing their classmate's name next to their corresponding activity. This is a great and informal way to allow students time to chat about their time away from school and build community by sharing commonalities.
