This set of math rings is for teaching the commutative property of addition and related subtraction problems. These cards focus on concepts and ideas that are taught in the first grade classroom. Print, cut and laminate. Then, place the cards on a ring. Addition Set A: This set is for learning the commutative property of addition. Students will write, with dry erase marker, the addition problem that shows the commutative property of the problem on the left side of the card. Set B: This set is for looking at a number bond and recording the two addition problems that can be made from the number bond. Subtraction Set A: This set is for learning the related subtraction problems. First Grade Math for Addition Number Bonds for Sums up to 10

This 1st grade math ring is designed to help students create their own number bonds and addition problems by using picture prompts. This set of rings goes up to sums of 10. There are 16 cards in this set. They can be made as one ring of 16 cards or in two rings of 8 cards. The first 8 rings have sums up to 6 and the second 8 rings show sums between 7 and 10. Students will circle two sets of shapes to create their own number bonds with the shapes provided. Students will use dry erase markers to record their answers in a number sentence and within a number bond. There is an optional recording page students can use to record their answers. To put these cards together, simply print, cut and laminate. Use a hole punch to punch the hole in the top left and use a ring to place the cards together, in order. To make two sets of 8 rings, then print the directions and cover (at the bottom of this page) twice Even though this is titled a 1st grade product, it would work well for higher level kindergarten students as well. This set contains math rings for determining if the card shows a true equation or a false equation comparison. Print, cut and laminate these cards then place them on rings for a portable math center or small group activity. Set 1: This set contains two math problems that may or may not be equal. Students must solve both sides to see if both equations have the same answer. They will record their answers as True/False on a recording sheet. Set 2: These rings contain number bonds on both side. The first number bond is correct. The second number bond may or may not be correct. Students must determine if the second number bond is true or false and equal to the first number bond. Set 3: These rings contain number problems and number bonds and students must determine if the equation and the number bond are equal. If they are, then they will mark True on their answer page. I Have Who Has Game - 2 Digit Addition With and Without Regrouping

Need a fun activity to practice adding 2 digit numbers? This I have Who Has 2 Digit Addition game is the perfect thing add to your lessons plans to help your students practice 2 digit addition in a fun and engaging way! With this game, students will add together two double digit numbers to find the sum. There are a variety of problems including regrouping and without regrouping.

What's included?

How to play:

  • One student starts the game by reading the 1st card. The student for example asks "Who has 37+22?" Other students look at their cards for the sum that matches the equation and replies with "I have 59." That student then continues the game by reading their question. The game ends when all cards are called.
  • Different ways to play: Play a round with your students while timing them. Play another round and see if students can beat their first time! I used to start or end our math lessons with this game each day when teaching 2 digit addition. Each day we would try to beat our previous time!
