Dots and Boxes Game - Counting to 60 - French or ANY language - No prep printable
An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the counting to 60 (just what you need to be able to tell time) in FRENCH or ANY LANGUAGE! This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools. This game is included in my Ça y est, Je parle français! French 1 & 2 curriculum.
Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the letters on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Looking for a French speaking activity and want your students to have some fun speaking French in October using seasonal HALLOWEEN vocabulary? These speaking prompts are only in French and are a great way to encourage student to share and discuss Halloween in French! This NO PREP activity is a fun way to encourage your students to speak more French and is a perfect resource to use in French immersion, core or homeschool curriculums.
Click here for details, examples, and links to ALL of my French Halloween resources.
This resource is part of my French Halloween bundle!
You can use these cards after teaching specific vocabulary for HALLOWEEN or as a fun interactive activity on a day when you want to just focus on speaking and reviewing in a different way. Read on to find out 9 ways I like to use these cards including the popular SCOOT game. Instructions and recording sheet are included.
All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a ring. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities.
Included:
30 speaking prompt cards - color (4 per page to print and cut out)
30 speaking prompt cards - black and white
PDF version to project and avoid printing (1 card per page to project)
10 different ways to use these cards
Scoot game instructions
Scoot recording sheet
There are many ways you can use this set of cards:
➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.
➤ Project the pdf file in class to work in group or with your whole class and avoid printing.
➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.
➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements.
➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.
➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.
➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included.
➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.
➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays.
➤ Great resource for tutoring sessions and vocabulary building.

Être with Emotions - Le jeu des 7 familles - French Card Game
Le jeu des sept familles - This classic card game is fun for students of all ages! Looking for easy prep literacy activities for independent work during differentiated reading instruction? This version of the game is for practicing ÊTRE PRESENT TENSE CONJUGATIONS and EMOTIONS.
➯ Have a look at my other Sept Familles games in my money saving bundle.
Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and conjugations in the present tense are used in the JE - TU - IL - NOUS - VOUS - ILS forms.
Includes:
How to play
42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or card stock
This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations. It will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! They will make affirmative and negative statements and will use EST-CE QUE to form simple questions.
One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He or she might say, "Est-ce que tu es triste?"
The goal is to come up with complete families. The different verbs represent the families. There are 6 cards to a family (JE - TU - IL - NOUS- VOUS - ILS). Students will find it helpful to group together the cards that have the same picture at the top (flower, flip-flops, etc.) If the player doesn't have it, he says "pioche". If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!

Le jeu des 7 familles- Savoir + Infinitive - French card game

❖ Le jeu des 7 familles- Savoir + Infinitive - French card game ❖

➯ This resource is part of my Primary French Growing Bundle!
Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and conjugations in the present tense are used in the JE - TU - IL - NOUS - VOUS - ILS forms:
The following verbs are used in this game: CHANTER - NAGER - DESSINER - ÉCRIRE - DANSER - LIRE - COURIR

Includes:
How to play (en français)
42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or card stock
This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations and the savoir + infinitive construction, and it will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! They will make affirmative and negative statements and will use EST-CE QUE to form simple questions.
One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He or she might say, "Est-ce que tu as JE SAIS CHANTER?"

J'ai...Qui a...? French Numbers 0 - 30 - I have...Who has?
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
J'ai...Qui a...? French Numbers 0 - 30 - I have...Who has?
This game includes 31 cards. Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. Two sets are included. The first set is for beginners. It has clues in which the numbers are written in alphabetical and numerical form. The second set only has the numbers written in numerical form. You can get the Spanish version here.
Here's how this game works. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says J'ai la première carte. Je commence, begins the game. He says, for example, Je commence. J'ai seize, qui a zéro? The person who has the card with zéro on it says, J'ai zéro. Qui a douze? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student's card will say, J'ai quinze, C'est fini!
Another idea is to prepare two sets of cards, divide your class into two groups and let each group have a go to see which team can get through the entire deck of cards the fastest. It's a lot of fun, and though you can play with younger students the older ones love this game just as much.
