I use these posters in my French Immersion classroom with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. I feel confident that they could be used for any grade from K-6. They are ideal for classroom decor, bulletin boards, and quiet reading area for young readers.

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. Where is the penguin? This winter sight word game is great for students who are practicing sight word recognition and beginning reading skills. This game can be used in a pocket chart or on a table top for an early education classroom.

What is Included:

How to Play:

Where's the Penguin is a game for centers or whole group instruction where a penguin is hidden behind a snowball. A poem is chanted where the student(s) must say the sight word they think the penguin is behind. Once guessed, the sight word is removed. If the penguin is behind the snowball, then the penguin must be hidden again to play further. If the penguin is not behind the snowball, then the poem is chanted again with a new sight word.

Looking for a Valentine's Day reader's theater, look no further! This reader's theater script is a companion activity to the book “The Night Before Valentine's Day” by Natasha Wing. It will enable the children to enjoy the story even more as well as increase reading fluency, expression and speaking skills.

About the Book

The Night Before Valentine's Day looks in on a house full of excited children, busily cutting out heart-shaped cards and writing silly Valentine rhymes. The next day at school is a day of parties, games, and even a surprise visitor bearing a special Valentine gift for the whole class!

There are four versions included. Two version has roles for three students and the other two version has roles for four students. The versions are all 4 pages.
