Trace, write, build, and use the winter vocabulary words in these Winter Word Writing Practice worksheets. Two different levels are included: one is a half page activity with no sentence building section and the other is a full page activity with sentence building. Both version use the same words, so that they can be used by students on different levels. Winter words included are snowman, snowflake, ice skates, hockey, hot cocoa, skis, mittens, and more.

Both a color and a black and white version of each word are included for easy printing. Use the black and white version to add coloring to the worksheets!

Learners will have fun building their rhyming snowman word families with this fun Build a Rhyming Snowman activity. This packet will help learners practice their word families all while building a snowman. Learners will identify the words that rhyme with each other and match the snowballs under the correct word family based on the rhyming sounds. • Present learners with the snowballs and the snowman head word families.
• Learners will sound out the word and identify the word that rhymes with it and match the pieces together to build the snowman.
• Learners will match the pictures in the snowballs to the heads of the snowman with the correct word family. They will continue doing this until they finish building the snowman word family.
• They will create a rhyming snowman.

Differentiation:

How do learners complete this Winter Kindergarten Pattern Math Center?

• Label and Identify the Patterns: Learners will label the patterns using A, B or C. They will identify the pattern and clip it using a wooden clothespin.
• Copy and Build the Pattern: Learners use circle counters, counting bears or snap cubes and place them onto the snap cubes based on the color to build the different patterns. They will then identify and clip the pattern.
• Extend the Pattern: Learners identify the pattern and use manipulatives to continue and complete the pattern.
• What is Missing? Learners use manipulatives to fill in the missing piece in the pattern. They need to recognize and identify the pattern first.
• Build the Pattern: Learners will use the winter picture cards to build the patterns. Includes 4 pattern cards, and winter objects.
• Patterns Worksheet: Learners will color in the snap cubes to match the given pattern.
