Social cues —both verbal and nonverbal— and body language are everywhere we look—often communicating more than words ever could. Sometimes, people need to “read between the lines” to fully understand the message. For students, the ability to recognize and correctly interpret both spoken and unspoken signals is an essential life skill. It helps them respond appropriately in conversations, build stronger relationships, and avoid misunderstandings.

Save lots of money while shopping using coupons. This colorful, cheerful binder organizes your coupons and makes it easier for you to find just the right coupon you are looking for while out shopping.Teach your students or children in your household the value of saving money by saving coupons. Create your own coupon binder by using baseball card holders that you can find at many dollar stores or office supply stores. You can either use a two inch or three inch binder to set it up and place all your dividers in. There are two coupon sorting sheets available. Rather than flipping through the pages in your binder to insert coupons which can take a lot of time, you can use the coupon sorting mats. Once your coupons are all sorted then you can place them in your binder. Children of all ages can help with sorting the coupons. Many kids can also help out with gathering coupons and cutting them out. Have your students write about ways they can help their family save money. there are a couple of writing prompts that you could use to have your students share ways that they can help their families save money. This does not necessarily mean just using coupons. It could mean saving money by turning off the lights when not in use, not taking long showers, or turning in cans for redemption. • Students edit each box and type in an activity or experience they had over the summer. For example, "Went to the beach," "Read a book," or "Had a barbecue."

• Students continue until all text boxes are filled with different activities or experiences they had over the summer.

• Last, students find classmates who share the same activities or experiences listed on their Bingo card and write their names on the line.

How to Share a Forced Copy

• Open your Google Slides presentation.
• In the address bar, locate the URL. It should look something like this: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/your-presentation-id/edit.
• Replace the word "edit" at the end of the URL with "copy" (e.g., https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/your-presentation-id/copy).
• Share this new link with students. When they click on it, they will be prompted to make a copy of the presentation.

Do your students know how to properly make entries into a spreadsheet to keep track of their deposits and withdrawals? I have created an Excel and Google Sheets spreadsheet to make it easy for them. Each spreadsheet has 3 tabs - 1) showing them what I created, 2) a blank spreadsheets with headings, & 3) a black spreadsheet so they can follow the easy directions I have provided to create their own. What a great way for them to keep track of the money they receive, spend, and be able to balance their checking account!

This product focuses on the following areas: This product provides students with information regarding stress. Students will complete a stress test and reflect on what may cause them stress. Fight/flight/freeze response is also reviewed in this product and how it relates with stress. Once students have taken the stress test, they will analyze their results. Students will work in groups and complete the packet regarding the effects of stress. Students will answer questions such as how they felt when they were feeling stressed, etc. Students will review the effects of stress charts provided that include what happens when the body is in fight or flight compared to when it is relaxed. Students will also learn about the emotional, physical, and mental effects of stress and see how they differ from one another. Students will learn what stress and stressors are when they discuss coping with stress. Healthy and unhealthy strategies to cope with stress are included in this product. Students will take time to reflect on a time when they were stressed or if they were stressed and answer questions regarding making healthy or unhealthy choices to cope with stress.

Throughout this product, students will answer comprehension questions and will also be presented with social scenarios that they may encounter where they are asked how they would feel or what they would do. An attitude survey regarding mental health that contains 10 questions is also included in this product. Students will compare their results when they are finished and will go over the correct answers.

This product can be used for 7th - 12th grade students depending on maturity and academic level.

This social emotional learning lesson uses Sandra Cisneros's short story Eleven. During this SEL lesson, students read the short story, view a YouTube video, and reflect on their own stress responses. There are journal entries and opportunities for small and large group discussions as well.
