I honestly can't tell you how many students have barged into my office super anxious and full of regret over decisions surrounding their cell phones. This resource allows you to start having open and honest conversations regarding cell phone safety. Images of cell phones with relatable messages for students to relate to. They'll get to read the message and decide if it's safe or not. Students will also get to brainstorm the positives and negatives of owning a cell, and brainstorm rules they feel they should follow in order to be safe and responsible online. Save lots of money while shopping using coupons. This colorful, cheerful binder organizes your coupons and makes it easier for you to find just the right coupon you are looking for while out shopping.Teach your students or children in your household the value of saving money by saving coupons. Create your own coupon binder by using baseball card holders that you can find at many dollar stores or office supply stores. You can either use a two inch or three inch binder to set it up and place all your dividers in. There are two coupon sorting sheets available. Rather than flipping through the pages in your binder to insert coupons which can take a lot of time, you can use the coupon sorting mats. Once your coupons are all sorted then you can place them in your binder. Children of all ages can help with sorting the coupons. Many kids can also help out with gathering coupons and cutting them out. Have your students write about ways they can help their family save money. there are a couple of writing prompts that you could use to have your students share ways that they can help their families save money. This does not necessarily mean just using coupons. It could mean saving money by turning off the lights when not in use, not taking long showers, or turning in cans for redemption. Some kids might write about a job they do such as a paper route, mowing the grass or shoveling snow. Some students might choose to discuss buying items on sale at the store and not demanding expensive name brand items."Older students can work on the total amount of savings from using coupons. Directions:

• Print multiple sets of the attached cards
• Divide the class into groups
• Groups take turns drawing a card and acting out what is printed on the card
• The person acting out what is printed on the card first reads the category aloud (i.e. place, thing, action, person, etc.)
• 30 seconds is given to act out what is on the card

Rules:

• The actor may not talk or make a sound at any time.

• The actor may not point to an object in the room.

• The actor may hold up fingers for the number of words in the phrase being acted out (i.e. flying a kite = 3 fingers, boat = 1 finger)

Do your students know how to properly make entries into a spreadsheet to keep track of their deposits and withdrawals? I have created an Excel and Google Sheets spreadsheet to make it easy for them. Each spreadsheet has 3 tabs - 1) showing them what I created, 2) a blank spreadsheets with headings, & 3) a black spreadsheet so they can follow the easy directions I have provided to create their own. What a great way for them to keep track of the money they receive, spend, and be able to balance their checking account!

This lesson gives students an introduction to the basics of applying for their first job. This is perfect for a technology, business or social skills class, or a class that focuses on careers. Students learn about the opportunities that may be available to them for their first job and then learn how to apply for the job. They learn about completing a job application, creating a resume in Microsoft Word, and the basics of interviewing with an employer. Students work with a team to create their own answers for commonly asked interview questions and to practice interviewing skills. Finally, students use the Internet to research actual jobs in their area that may be appropriate for them. This product reviews the importance of visiting the dentist, when children start losing their teeth and why they lose teeth (to make room for permanent teeth), how many teeth children lose and how many permanent teeth there are, what happens when children lose teeth (the tooth fairy may visit), how to prevent cavities, how to care for your teeth - how many times a day you should brush your teeth, how long you should brush your teeth for, and how often you should floss your teeth for each day, pictures of dental tools that are used in a dental office along with their labels, and anatomy of a tooth.

Students will answer short answer, multiple choice, and fill in the blanks using a key comprehension questions are included in this product that relate with the information that is shared throughout the product. Students will also share their experiences with caring for their teeth, losing a tooth, and visiting the dentist. Students will also have the opportunity to label the anatomy of a tooth and draw diagrams and experiences.
