• Decode the Idiom: This 1-page worksheet features 12 quotations that feature idioms which Shakespeare invented: wear my heart on my sleeve, all that glitters is not gold, I have a charmed life, as good luck would have it, and more. • Shakespearean Insult Generator: Shakespeare's characters are exceptionally creative in their elaboration of insults. Indeed, some scholars have suggested that the insults in Shakespeare's plays amount to their own education in wit. If your students are sufficiently mature, you could use this exercise to invite them to generate their own original Shakespearean insults. (2 pages)

In this product, students will learn about World War 1, common names used for this war, how this war was started, when it started, who was involved in it - Allies, Central Powers, who remained neutral during the war, and when America joined in on the war, which side they were on, and why they joined the war, why Americans didn't want to get involved in World War 1 in the beginning, the ocean liner - Lusitania and how that influenced America to join the war, Woodrow Wilson and his part in the war, what Allies means, trenches that were built in the battlefield and why, how long soldiers stayed in them and why, who surrendered at the end of World War 1, when the war ended, how many soldiers died during the war, the treaty that signed at the end of the war and who signed it, how countries changed after the war, the jobs that women had after World War 1, when women could vote - the 19th Amendment, the order in which the first 15 states gave women the right to vote, the 3 states that ratified the 19th Amendment, African Americans after World War 1 and how this was the beginning of the civil rights movement, where African Americans moved after World War 1, the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendment and how they were important in the United States.
The notes are adapted to meet your student's individual learning needs. Throughout the product, after each page of notes is reviewed, students will answer comprehension questions to review what was discussed on previous pages. At the end of the product, students are provided with a review that includes multiple choice questions and short answer questions.

They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I did a demo and taught the class how to use a ruler and a yardstick. Measurements and Math were a strong focus of the lesson. Next, students spent the rest of the first lesson practicing the use of a ruler and a yardstick. Need an awesome Art Unit? I have just the thing for you! This creative Mandala Design artwork was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I did a demo and taught the class how to use a ruler and a yardstick. Measurements and Math was a strong focus of the lesson. Next, students spent the rest of the first lesson brainstorming an idea for a stencil (¼ of their full Mandala Design. I taught the students how to rotate their stencil to get a Radial Design. Students started on their Final Copy paper and outlined their drawing in sharpie marker. We used large windows to trace our stencils on the final. Students used colored pencils, colored sharpies, or watercolor paint to color their Mandala Design. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Coyote School News - Comprehension Questions

In this product, Coyote School News is read and reviewed. In this product, students will read the text, Coyote School News. Students will review/learn what a historical fiction text is and will have the opportunity to identify historical fiction texts and come up with possible historical fiction story ideas. As students read the text, Coyote School News, they will answer comprehension questions using this product. They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. The questions from the text are adapted in this packet to meet each of your student's needs. At the end of the packet, students will answer comprehension questions about the author, Joan Sandin. At the end of the packet is a template and the steps necessary for your students to write a newspaper article as well.

Drawing Art: Ghostly Self Portraits.

Need an awesome Art Unit? I have just the thing for you! This creative Ghostly Self Portraits Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use grey newsprint paper if you have it, but if you do not you could use white drawing paper (if you give the white paper a grey-ish look ahead of time). I used pencil to sketch everything out in student sketchbooks and on final copy newsprint paper. I used black crayon OR black oil pastel (depending on grade level) to first outline the major features of the pencil drawing. The older students used oil pastels. After outlining, white crayon OR white oil pastels were used for the self-portrait eyes, and a few other areas. Pattern was a focus throughout the composition whether it showed up on the person or in the background. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.
Managing Anxiety Activities and Examples

In this product, students will learn how anxiety can make you feel, what anxiety is, what happens to the body when we feel worried or fearful, how anxiety feels some possible causes of anxiety, what you can do to ease anxiety, learn different ways to manage anxiety learn breathing activities to manage anxiety, how someone can become anxious because of something that was said, examples that may cause you to become anxious, and students will determine how to best handle those situations. Anxiety scenarios are included in this product that require students to share how they would feel if the situation was happening to them explain what may happen to their body using the chart that is included in this product. A journal on how to manage anxiety is also included with this product that includes 9 different prompts that allow students to draw or write about a situation where they became anxious and how they handled that situation.

My students enjoyed this book because it is a book about friendship, solving problems, trying new things, and growing up as they navigate middle school.
