• Renaissance Glossary: This 2-page glossary features 50 words that appear frequently within Shakespeare's plays but are no longer used in modern-day speech: adieu, beseech, ere, fain, naught, prithee, troth, wot, etc. Familiarizing students with this words will make their reading experience much smoother! This glossary includes a definition for each word as well as an example of how it's used in Shakespeare's plays. (2 pages)
• Translation Practice: This 2-page worksheet features 20 brief quotations from a diverse range of Shakespeare's plays. Challenge students to translate each quotation into modern English. This exercise gives students a change to demonstrate their understanding of the words in the Renaissance Glossary. Includes answer key. (4 pages)
• Decode the Idiom: This 1-page worksheet features 12 quotations that feature idioms which Shakespeare invented: wear my heart on my sleeve, all that glitters is not gold, I have a charmed life, as good luck would have it, and more. Challenge students to identify the idiom by filling in the word missing from the quotation. Then have students explain the meaning of the idiom. Includes answer key. (2 pages)
• Blank Verse: A 2-page handout on the when and why Shakespeare employs blank verse (i.e. unrhymed iambic pentameter). This handout explains how blank verse emerged as a popular verse form as well as what distinguished Shakespeare's usage of blank verse. When and why do some of Shakespeare's characters break with the regular rhythms of blank verse? Why might some characters alternate between using verse and prose? (2 pages)
• Scansion Practice: Students learn to identify iambic pentameter by scanning 10 well-known quotations from Shakespeare's plays. Includes answer key. (4 pages)
• Quizzes on Meter (x2): The 2 quizzes on meter are designed to asses whether students are able to accurately scan Shakespearean lines. Each quiz features 10 quotations from Shakespeare's plays. Includes answer keys. (8 pages)
• Shakespearean Insult Generator: Shakespeare's characters are exceptionally creative in their elaboration of insults. Indeed, some scholars have suggested that the insults in Shakespeare's plays amount to their own education in wit. If your students are sufficiently mature, you could use this exercise to invite them to generate their own original Shakespearean insults. (2 pages)

For this assignment, I asked students to get with a partner or into small groups and brainstorm subject matter, orientation, and theme of the overall composition. Plus, decide which group member(s) will be in charge of what to draw and where to draw it. Students will need to sketch out ideas first inside a sketchbook, transfer the sketches to Final Copy Paper, outline the large image, and start coloring in everything with crayon. Need an awesome Art Unit? I have just the thing for you! This creative Spooky Structures Scene was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked students to brainstorm in their sketchbook first. Students were asked to choose a Spooky Structure: school, hotel, house, church, etc. Students learned how to use a ruler and yardstick for measurements. Once the drawing was on Final Copy Paper, students may color and paint with the appropriate art materials. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.

In this product, Reading Street - So You Want to Be President? is read and reviewed. In this product, students will read the text, So You Want to Be President. Students will review/learn facts about different Presidents throughout history, what Presidents enjoy/dislike about their job, why someone wants to become President of the United States, etc. Students will answer comprehension questions using this product. They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. Selection vocabulary words, their meanings, and an example of them used in a sentence is included in this product. Students will have the opportunity to make up their own sentences for each selection vocabulary word as well. The questions from the text are adapted in this packet to meet each of your student's needs. At the end of the packet, students will answer comprehension questions about the author, Judith St. George

Drawing Art: Salvador Dali Melting Clock.

This creative Salvador Dali Melting Clock Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked students to practice drawing melting clocks. Next, I taught students how to draw a Dali-melting clock. I demonstrated how to draw a melting clock with numbers, step-by-step. Students created their own melting clock drawing on Final Copy Paper. Students outlined and colored their artwork. Younger grades used crayons. Older grades used oil pastels. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.
Forms of Energy Adapted Notes and Review

In this product, different forms of energy are reviewed. Students will learn that energy exists in other forms, what energy is, how you can't always see energy, stored energy vs. energy in motion and examples for students to make connections with each, kinetic energy, examples of kinetic energy for students to make connections with it in real life, students will locate and circle the different kinds of kinetic energy, potential and kinetic energy and how it can go back and forth (picture explanations are also included to provide a visual), different forms of energy - electrical, light, sound, thermal, chemical, and mechanical energy are reviewed - their meanings and examples of each along with pictures so students can make connections with what they are learning in their personal life, what matter is and how it is in chemical energy, and energy transformation picture examples are provided. Students will then be required to write down the different types of energy that change to other kinds of energy when they are provided with picture examples. Students will also be required to draw picture and write down the forms of energy that were used to show energy transformation. At the end of the product, students can complete the review that includes short answer and multiple choice questions.
Throughout the product, students will answer short answer comprehension questions to ensure comprehension after reviewing each page of notes.

In this packet, students can answer comprehension questions pertaining to the text as they read the book or after they read the text. They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. The questions from the text are adapted in this packet to meet each of your student's needs. In the beginning of the packet, the question, "what is a historical fiction text?" is answered. The selection vocabulary words are also included with this packet. The meaning of the vocabulary word and a picture that shows what each word is is also included. Students will be required to come up with a sentence using each selection word.
