My students enjoyed this book because it is a book about friendship, being mature, supporting your friends, being a good sport, leader, etc., and solving problems with friends and in life. This book does not have chapters, so comprehension questions were separated by pages. Therefore, written comprehension skills are emphasized while reading. At the end of this product, there are a variety of short answer writing prompts to choose from.

The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and a few example sentences are presented in the packet. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet.

For this assignment, I asked students to get with a partner or into small groups and brainstorm subject matter, orientation, and theme of the overall composition. Plus, decide which group member(s) will be in charge of what to draw and where to draw it. Students will need to sketch out ideas first inside a sketchbook, transfer the sketches to Final Copy Paper, outline the large image, and start coloring in everything with crayon. Students will also learn about the 6 major fitness skills are, their meanings, and examples - agility, balance, coordination, reaction time, speed, and power, what the President's challenge is and what events are included in this event are all covered. Different kinds of workouts are discussed and reviewed along with examples - low-intensity physical activities, moderate-intensity physical activities, and vigorous-intensity physical activities and how they differ from each other, aerobic activities and examples, the process of a workout is reviewed - the warm up, target heart rate, specific exercises, training, overload, progression, and frequency, and what each of these terms mean. Students will also learn what FIIT means - Frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise, and the importance of setting health goals - students will have time to do this in this product.

Throughout the product, students will answer comprehension questions that relate with the material that is carried out on each slide. Students can complete this as a group, independently, with a partner.

Students were asked to draw 15-30 large flowers all over their paper. Students were allowed to paint the flowers with any colors they wanted. When the artwork was dry students outlined all the flowers with a black sharpie marker. Some collage skills were added to the assignment at the end of the unit when students needed to cut/glue down strips of construction paper to the bottom of the Final Copy Field of Flowers, to look like fence posts. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I did a demo and taught the class how to trace lids/containers and how to use a ruler/yardstick. Measurement was a strong focus of the lesson. Students traced a large lid/container on Final Copy paper. Students used a ruler/yardstick to make straight lines: vertical, horizontal, and diagonal. Students made some lines thin and some lines very thick. Students traced everything with a black sharpie marker. Students used crayons, colored pencils, or colored sharpies to color their Piet Mondrian Design. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.

In this product, Reading Street - So You Want to Be President? is read and reviewed. In this product, students will read the text, So You Want to Be President. Students will review/learn facts about different Presidents throughout history, what Presidents enjoy/dislike about their job, why someone wants to become President of the United States, etc. Students will answer comprehension questions using this product. They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. Selection vocabulary words, their meanings, and an example of them used in a sentence is included in this product. Students will have the opportunity to make up their own sentences for each selection vocabulary word as well. Need an awesome Art Unit? I have just the thing for you! This creative Warm & Cool Hand Paintings Design was created to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I used large 18 x 24-inch paper. Students traced their arm/hands, traced large lids, and used rulers and yardsticks to create a unique design. Students were asked to use either warm colors in their arm/hand, and cool colors in the background, OR vice versa. Students used watercolor paints to color their entire artwork. In this product, different forms of energy are reviewed. Students will learn that energy exists in other forms, what energy is, how you can't always see energy, stored energy vs. energy in motion and examples for students to make connections with each, kinetic energy, examples of kinetic energy for students to make connections with it in real life, students will locate and circle the different kinds of kinetic energy, potential and kinetic energy and how it can go back and forth (picture explanations are also included to provide a visual), different forms of energy - electrical, light, sound, thermal, chemical, and mechanical energy are reviewed - their meanings and examples of each along with pictures so students can make connections with what they are learning in their personal life, what matter is and how it is in chemical energy, and energy transformation picture examples are provided. Students will then be required to write down the different types of energy that change to other kinds of energy when they are provided with picture examples. Students will also be required to draw picture and write down the forms of energy that were used to show energy transformation. At the end of the product, students can complete the review that includes short answer and multiple choice questions.

Throughout the product, students will answer short answer comprehension questions to ensure comprehension after reviewing each page of notes.

This creative Underwater Perspective Walkway: Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this PDF file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen.

For this assignment, I asked students to make an Underwater Perspective Walkway, celebrating the joy of 1-point perspective and sea life. Students brainstorm their ideas in a sketchbook and learn how to draw in 1-point perspective (step-by-step demonstrations). Measurements w/ rulers and yardsticks are learned. A compass is used for the curves. Students take the sketch to Final Copy paper and outline important features. Materials will be mainly colored pencils and transparent watercolor blue wash paints. This is a 3-5-day assignment.
