Digital Student Portfolio Project for Google Sites

This digital student portfolio project for Google Sites is the perfect way to help your students showcase their work in a professional, organized, and user-friendly way. With this product, you can quickly create portfolios that highlight student work, achievements, and more. Plus, the digital portfolio can be easily shared with parents and administrators for viewing.

This project can range anywhere from 6th grade to 12th grade. Depending on the age, it takes them about 2-3 days to a week from my personal experience with my students.

You will receive a PDF copy of the project directions.

This product provides a generic guide I came up with using AVID strategies as well as a reading my students did this year during their Science and Technology Unit. Using the AVID strategies to practice Close Reading in my AP Spanish Language and Culture course. I have provided this resource with a free example.

Use this end of the year editable WICOR AVID digital Choice Board to add writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization and reading into your class with some fun summer themes! Have students complete pieces for sub plans, final exams or study hall time. Simply, make any edits you wish and share a forced copy of the spreadsheet with your students.

Directions

• Divide your class into pairs.

• Each person interviews the other. The information gained forms a brief introduction speech they'll present to the class OR to smaller groups.

• Establish a time limit for the interviews. 10 minutes works well. Keep track of the time and call change at the halfway point, 5 minutes, to ensure both people get an opportunity to be interviewed and to interview.

• When students present the introduction may begin like this: "This is Mary and she was named after her mother..." and the students will go through each answer by presenting it like a speech.

You're about to start a Robotics Unit and you're looking for an informative and FUN way to introduce students to robots. THis Web Quest gives them the history of robots, looks at different types of robots and includes thought provoking video links.

They'll browse the websites of world leaders in robots, both humanoid and manufacturing. They'll complete charts and tables. They'll answer critical thinking questions.

This file includes:
-Word document that you can print to give students a hard copy of the activity.
-PDF file of student handout that you can load in your LMS (I use Canvas and it works beautifully!) so that students have access to the links.
-Word document of the answer key.
-PDF version of the answer key.

This Look Book Project is great to use at the end of the Elements of Design Unit or it can be a continuous working activity for students to work through as you cover each element throughout your unit.

Use: It can be uploaded to google classroom or any other platform that students can access to work on a google slides template. There is a slide with instructions as well as an example slide, and blank slide with the titles of each of the elements that the students need to include in their look book.

This "What Career" card game is played similar to the card game "Apples to Apples" and my students LOVED it! It lead to a lot of conversation, sharing of likes and dislikes, and questioning of what specific careers were - it was so refreshing to listen to them talk non-stop about careers during these class periods! Included in the download is everything you need to play the game, including instructions and step by step guide!
