Introducing research techniques when preparing for a speech has never been easier! This lesson guides students through a step-by-step process of understanding how to research their topics, determine which resources are appropriate, and prepare accordingly. When a high school student begins a public speaking unit, it is quite often the first time he or she has been required to speak in public, other than the basic Show and Tell in elementary school.

Therefore, it is important to make sure the students become familiar with the basics of how to stand, speak, move, and make eye contact during any type of public speaking situation.
