Idioms are so fun to learn! Don't take them too literally! There are so many idioms that I have made a classroom set of idiom pages. Each student gets their own idiom. They then get to draw a literal meaning of the picture for everyone to giggle at. Then at the bottom of the page they write what the idiom really means. You can display these after on your bulletin board or around your room. Let your students show what they know about idioms in a creative way, then hang them up for others to learn from your class. Kaboom is a fun game to practice reflexive pronouns, 75 cards in total. It can be played in small groups or with the whole class. Low prep, just print out and cut up.

Contains multiple choice statements, students choose between OBJECT and REFLEXIVE pronouns.

How to play:

• print out and cut up the cards
• put them in a receptacle of your choice
• decide on how long you want to spend on this activity and set a timer
• pupils take turns pulling out a card and reading the sentence
• if they choose the correct pronoun, they get to keep the card
• if they get it wrong, they put it back
• the next pupil takes a turn
• if they pull out a Kaboom! card, they put all their cards back
