This reading passage examines the short story of a teenager posting a photo to Instagram. This reading passage examines the short story of a teen boy who desires to be TikTok famous. Through this text, students will assess the sacrifices the teen makes in pursuit of popularity while also investigating the influence TikTok has on the teen's perception of self.

This reading passage examines the short story of a boy attempting to unearth whether or not his girlfriend is cheating on him. Through the creation of a fake TikTok account, the boy tests his girlfriend’s loyalty. Students will evaluate the morality of his actions by analyzing the boy’s emotions and the outcome of the situation.
