These end-of-year award certificates are conveniently in black and white for easy, no-prep, no expense printing. 30 eye catching awards in 2 different themes means there are 60 awards to choose. You can print on white paper, coloured paper, coloured cardstock, or have students colour them in themselves. My decision to do this is in response to so many teachers having strict colour printing budgets at their schools. I wanted to find an economical way of printing these, so teachers did not have to break the bank!

What to do:

Make copies of the awards that you would like to use, either by printing an entire set or by selecting the ones you want for printing.

Insert colour paper, white paper, or cardstock for easy printing

Fill in the child’s name that you would like to honour for the award along with date and your name.

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. My "big" kids in grades 5 and 6 have been struggling with their French sounds - both basic and complex - and we're backtracking! However, because of their unique needs, I was struggling to find texts at their level that featured these complex sounds - in excess - for them to practice, see in real life and to work with them in guided readings or 1:1. I was finding myself scouring my shelves for books that had ample opportunities for them to see and practice a certain sound and wasn't having success; so I decided to create texts that hone in on specific sound formations they're struggling with, have never properly learned, or have forgotten. They are texts which feature vocabulary at the grade 5-6 instructional level.

I was also tired of running back and forth from my literacy lab to find reading records and wanted to have them printable from my classroom. If you're in a similar boat, this is the product for you!

This collection features 44 pages of resources:

- 12 texts (student version to be printed and used in small groups or 1:1)

- 12 texts (teachable version with sounds highlighted, or for differentiated instruction)

- 12 "fiches" to use as a fiche d'observation/fiche d'évaluation en littératie in a 1:1 setting featuring columns you're used to seeing (Erreurs, autocorrections, S | St | V strategies, Fluidité, Date, Nom de l'évaluateur et nom de l'élève). I've also provided you with a handy accuracy calculator so you don't need to pull out your calculator for each individual text. Circle the number of errors and you'll be given their accuracy percentage. Each text features comprehension questions.

The sounds and textual features you'll see featured in these series of texts include:

Do you teach a foreign language to your students? This packet contains two center activities that help teach colors in English, Spanish and French! It is differentiated so that students who need more help can use the colored word cards and those who are more advanced can use the black and white cards. The first center activity, the students match the color name to the color splat on the color mats. There are color mats available in English, Spanish and French with word cards available with each color. Use Velcro on the word cards and the blank spaces to allow the word cards to stay in place. The second center activity is a matching/memory game where students pair the colored splat card with the correct color word. This center is also available in English, Spanish and French. French Dots and Boxes Game - VOULOIR - PRESENT TENSE - No prep printable

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the target vocabulary and grammar when teaching present tense VOULOIR with and without negation. This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the verbs on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most.
