Flashcards that were created for our English-Arabic learners containing commonly used classroom objects (tools). It has the English word - picture depicting the word - Arabic word - English phonetic pronunciation of Arabic word. This set was designed to facilitate communication between the teacher and Arabic students and to teach school tools Arabic name's to English students.

Differentiated task cards to practice agreeing and disagreeing (So do I. / Neither do I. / I do. / I don't.) Practice using different tenses and modal verbs. Use them to play Kaboom Game or Scoot, they are great for Centers, Quiz Games, can be used as Bell Ringers. Low prep, just print out and cut up.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Kaboom! Game

• print out and cut up the numbered sentence cards and Kaboom! cards, laminate (optional)
• put them in a receptacle of your choice
• decide on how long you want to spend on this activity and set a timer
• pupils take turns pulling out a card and finishing the sentence - they need to select the correct option or make a sentence using cues
• if they say it right, they get to keep the card
• if they get it wrong, they put it back
• the next pupil takes a turn
• if they pull out a Kaboom! card, they put all their cards back, feel free to use as many (or as few) Kaboom! card as you wish
• pupil with the most cards at the end wins

Scoot Game

• use the numbered sentence cards, each student gets a recording sheet
• place one card on each student's desk. If you have fewer students than cards, feel free to not use the whole deck.
• plan a route, make sure your students understand which way they are supposed to move
• start the game by having each pupil write the answer to their card on their answer sheet
• when students are finished, call out "SCOOT" and they move to their neighbour's desk where they write the answer to the card on that desk
• call out "SCOOT" again, students move again, continue until students have answered all the cards
• answer sheets can be corrected with the whole group, in pairs or collected for a later correction

Sentence Domino

• print out and cut up, laminate (optional)
• to be used in pairs or small groups - print out a few copies
• pupils look for pairs - a statement with the corresponding agreeing or disagreeing response - which they place next to each other creating a line of matching cards

❖ 50 ESL - ELL this or that question cards - Game of two extremes ❖

Keep your middle school and high school students active by playing the "Two Extremes" game. The facilitator will use a stack of cards listing things, activities or places that fall at opposite ends of the spectrum, such as: salty or sweet, London or New York, Mac or PC.

The students start standing in a big group, but when each choice is read, they move to the side of the room that the facilitator indicates is associated with their choice (see the arrows on the cards). Those who can’t make up their mind or don’t have a preference remain in the center. Students will see all of the things that they have in common with their classmates and will likely learn some new vocabulary while they’re at it!

These cards are great for middle school or high school and can be used at any time, especially when everyone needs a break and needs to stand up and move around a bit.

This activity requires no teacher prep once the set of cards is printed and cut out. Don’t want to print or don’t have time to do so? That’s ok! There’s a PDF file with only one card per page that you can project and play as a class.

In these products, students will learn the following English words and signs for the following parts of speech: 146 nouns, 33 pronouns, 126 adjectives, 110 verbs, 74 adverbs, 44 prepositions, 42 conjunctions, 20 interjections, and 44 contractions.

These product can be used with students who are learning English and American Sign Language. It can serve as an in class practice, review, or quiz.

In the first section of the nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, and contractions products, students will learn the English word and the sign for each given word. Students will be required to write the word in their native language if a first language has previously been mastered.

In the second section, students will be provided with a dictionary for the nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, and contractions products that are reviewed. Students will be provided with a picture, the word, and the sign to help students make a connection and learn the word and sign.

In the third section of the nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, and contractions products, students will be required to write each given word in English. At the end of this section, students will be required to make up 10 - 20 sentences using the nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, and contractions that were learned. The amount of sentences will vary per product

In the fourth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the example sentence (if provided), picture, and sign that are included for each word. Students will then be required to make up a sentence using each word in English.

In the fifth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the example sentence (if provided), picture, and sign that are included for each word. Students will then be required to make up a sentence using each word in their native language.

With this game, learners have less than 15 seconds to race against the clock and translate the number, color, or shape represented by the highlighted word. Here's the twist: The possible responses start disappearing after time. Incorrect answers lose points and correct answers earn points. Not only that, the faster they answer correctly, the more points they earn.
