These one page math practices are perfect for your 3rd grade math unit. Each page/review focuses on one of the standards of the Operations & Algebraic Thinking strand (3.OA). This is the perfect way to review your geometry unit!

Students will love this Jeopardy-like game to review all Common Core Geometry standards. Categories include PERIMETER, AREA, 3D SHAPES AND NETS, SURFACE AREA, VOLUME AND VOCABULARY. Points range from 100 - 500, which reflect the increase in difficulty from 100-point basic review questions to 500-point questions that require students to apply their knowledge.

**FULLY EDITABLE** While the game is complete, it is also editable in PowerPoint, making it easy to add questions or change the level of difficulty based on your students' needs.

PERIMETER: questions require students to find perimeter on basic shapes, the coordinate plane, and to find the length or width given a perimeter.

AREA: questions cover finding the area of a rectangle, triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids and irregular shapes. Some questions are straight forward and others require studnets to identify expressions and/or apply their knowledge.

3D SHAPES AND NETS: questions involve having students name 3D shapes, find an appropriate net, and identify faces, edges and vertices.

SURFACE AREA: questions focus on finding the surface area of rectangular and triangular prisms, as well as pyramids. Some questions just ask for the surface area to be found and others require determining appropriate expressions.

VOLUME: questions require students to find the volume of a rectangular prism, find the length given the volume, width, and height, determine how many 1/2-unit cubes fit into a rectangular prism, and apply a given volume formula.

Do I need to use a specific Bible Story Book?

No! While I prefer to use The Beginner’s Bible Timeless Children’s Stories by Zondervan with these lessons, they are not required. You can easily use your own favorite Bible Story book, Scripture, or simply read the Bible Summary in the actual lesson that retells the Bible story.

Statement of Faith:

I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins through his death on the cross, resurrected on the third day having victory over death. I believe in the trinity, that God is existent in 3 separate persons - God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe, as Calvary Chapel states, “that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1-100 of Fry's High Frequency Words in an easy to use, kindergarten or first grade friendly format. Perfect to use after explicit instruction in the spelling pattern or irregularities associated with words that are sometimes not decodable!

Students use a variety of modalities to orthographically map the the word including:

• Finger trace
• Find and circle
• Write
• Color
• Read it in 2-3 easily decodable sentences
• Draw it
• Use in a sentence - A perfect way to introduce sentence stems!

This resource is perfect to use in ELA small group stations as it provides a visual reminder of what to do in each section for non-readers.

We all know that memorizing words is not the best practice as it relates to the Science of Reading. Using these sheets after explicit instruction will help young learners retain and practice their skills!

Each resource includes 30 interactive Slides with movable Base 10 Blocks as well as a Self-Grading Google Form to provide students with quick feedback and effortlessly track student progress on this skill.  This activity will help set students up for success when using performing the standard algorithm without manipulatives by giving them the conceptual understanding of what happens when we regroup numbers.

This resource can be used in Google Classroom for math centers, independent practice, distance learning, or as a small group mini-lesson. In addition, this can be used as a teaching resource for a whole class lesson.  Simply project the Google Slides presentation on the whiteboard and use the moveable pieces to model each problem.

This aligns with Common Core Standard: 3.NBT.A.2 Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.

Students will understand how to add 2 three digit numbers with regrouping using Base-10 blocks with sums up to 1,000. This resource requires students to regroup both the tens and the ones place.  

You will need to have a google account to access the google slides, but you do not need to have a Google classroom to assign this resource to students.
