How does fashion industry culture affect us as individuals and the physical characteristics of a place? The bigger picture is how is it going to affect our culture, practices, and the environment in years to come. Is fast fashion sustainable? This lesson Fast Fashion will engage students through the use of music and cooperative learning, providing students with a "big picture" surrounding fast fashion industry. Students will also understand the cause and effect of our choices today.

The classifying plants file folder activity allows students to label the parts of plants - cells, stem, roots, and leaves. Students will also match the following vocabulary words and their meanings with pictures: parallel veins and netted veins found in leaves, soft stems and woody stems, smooth leaf margins and jagged leaf margins found on leaves, waxy texture, smooth texture, and rough texture found on leaves, and taproots and fibrous roots. 1st Grade Salt Life

Need some notes that you can do whole group AND have the "you do" portion incorporated? This is great for doing notes with the class, discussing energy pyramid, trophic levels, practicing the 10% rule and more! The students won't have time to be unengaged and it is great practice AND study guide!

With this earth science lesson, students will learn about deforestation. Why is it being done, and the impact it has on the Earth. There is an article to read and a graphic organizer to fill out. There are also questions and a video suggestion for after reading, posters to stimulate discussion, and suggestions for even more follow-up. This would make for a great sub-plan.

In this product, students will learn how animals obtain energy. They will review vocabulary words and their meanings - ecosystem and organism. Students will learn about the importance of food chains and what each link entails - first link - sun, second link - producers, consumers and how they can be carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores, and what each of those consumers means, students will learn about where they get energy from, students will also label the 1st link, 2nd link, producers, and kinds of consumers on food chains.
