There are many ways you can use this set of cards: ➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions. ➤ Project the pdf file in class to work in group or with your whole class and avoid printing. ➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box. ➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements. ➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer. ➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards. ➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. In this product, students will review winter vocabulary and their signs. Students will be provided with 12 winter picture cards that they can cut out. Students will be given two different forms of the picture cards - one with the name of each picture card and one without. Once students cut out the picture cards, they will follow the directions on each page of the winter prepositions booklet and glue the pictures where they belong. Students will then make up a sentence using each preposition. The product can be cut and made into a smaller pocket booklet. I personally like to begin each class during the month of December with a prompt to really get students in the spirit of Christmas. The possibilities for use are endless during a time of year when every second you can get to be hands-off is precious and your students will appreciate the time to reflect on this very special holiday.

Looking for a GAME that will make SPEAKING FUN in Spanish class?  This winter-themed snowball speaking activity will get students using their Spanish creatively!  This low-prep game, called Snowball Fight, will have students competing to tell stories about a winter day! Easy to differentiate and scaffold with the included teacher instructions and vocab list!

How to play:

-Students choose snowballs (each snowball has a winter-related word)

-Students must create a story with the words on the snowballs, forcing them to think on their feet and create a logical story with random words!

The variations of this game are endless and you can play it all winter long!

❆give students as much time as they need to tell their story or
