Are your students struggling with conjugating the French verb être along with common descriptive adjectives? Let them revise and have fun with this traditional game!

In order to win, students connect four boxes by filling them in with the correct forms of the eight adjectives listed at the bottom of the game board (see the adjectives used below). Subject pronouns and genders are listed on the left.

Students take turns filling in boxes until four are connected. At this point, they can check their work using the answer key provided. If any of the conjugations are incorrect, the game continues. Full instructions are included.

This French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the city of Saint-malo. Saint-Malo is a beautiful city that attracts thousands of tourists each day, but it has a somewhat shady past. Learn about the pirates who lived there as well as the fate of the city in World War 2.

This reading is suitable for novice-high/intermediate-low students with teacher guidance and higher-level students to work independently.  If you teach AP French, this reading can be useful in giving your students practice reading nonfiction articles for the interpretive section of the test.  The reading can lead to discussion or writing activities to include the other two modes of communication.

Test your students' French reading comprehension while giving them lots of exposure to using the French verbs visiter vs rendre visite. This quiz is written in the present tense, passé composé, and a few verbs are in the imperfect. With this French reading passage and comprehension questions, your students will see many different ways to use the verbs visiter vs rendre visite!

This French reading Google Forms quiz includes ten multiple choice questions. Students read the text carefully and reply to the comprehension questions. This is not a beginner level quiz. Making inferences, connections, and predictions are part of the reading comprehension exercise.
