Time allowance to complete each activity:

5-10 minutes - read through the text individually.

40-50 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)

Time allowance to assess:

A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is because the aim is to get students writing answers and not to just have multiple choice options.

This scavenger hunt is a fun way for students to learn fun and interesting facts about Ukraine while bringing attention to the country & culture. Students can work together to complete the scavenger hunt bringing unity to the classroom. Activity pages at the end give students the opportunity to reflect and even express their emotions.

This resource does not directly address the current climate or war in Ukraine. This resource was designed to teach about the beauty of Ukraine and its rich culture. With this interactive scavenger hunt students will learn fun and interesting facts about Ukraine. For example: Did you know Ukraine used to be apart of another country? Vladimir Luxuria (Italy) - A politician, actress, and television host, Vladimir Luxuria was the first openly transgender member of Parliament in Europe, representing the Communist Refoundation Party in Italy.

Jordan Raskopoulos (Australia) - A comedian, actor, and lead singer of the comedy rock band The Axis of Awesome, Jordan Raskopoulos came out as a transgender woman in 2016 and has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
