They also compare them qualitatively, looking at price, durability, design and other subjective measures.

Introduction to probability no prep lesson.

Begin with an interactive activity - make a probability line in the middle of your classroom (certain at one end, impossible at the other). Students place an event card where they think it lies along the line.

Worksheet on drawing probability lines and deciding where to add events. Answers are included but many responses are particular to each student.

• L'enquête d'un enseignant de maternelle sur les animaux de compagnie préférés ;
• Une dispute démocratique autour d'une sortie scolaire de fin d'année ;
• Un aperçu de la croissance de deux plantes différentes au cours de 10 semaines ;
• Une étude réalisée pour comparer la température au cours d'une journée.

Ces activités sont PARFAITES pour l'évaluation, pour la révision, pour les centres, pour un plan de remplacement ou pour les cliniques de mathématiques. Les élèves doivent créer des diagrammes à bandes ou des diagrammes à ligne brisée avec les données collectées puis répondre aux questions liées aux tables des valeurs qui les amènent à fouiller dans les données et à expliquer leurs choix. **NOTE - I actually use this in a 7 station setup. One station is group 1-on-1 with me and another group is at the computers. (See last thumbnail for explanation.)

This resource focuses on understanding the Relationship between Ratios, Rates and Unit Rates. The worksheet has 25 fill-in questions that are Common Core aligned (6.RP.A.2) .

• Questions 1: Give the definitions of the three comparisons (Ratio-Rate-Unit rate).

• Question 2: Activity that groups ratios, rates, and unit rates in a box + four questions for students to explain the difference between the comparisons.

• Question 4: Example of how to convert a rate into a unit rate+ eight questions for a student to find the unit rate.

Real-Life Data and Statistics is most interesting for students. In this fun, DIY Task, (with complete key), students study the men's 400M hurdles world record from 1908 tot 2021. They have to

• calculate the rate of improvement from one record to the next

This Google Form activity is perfect to have 7th grade students practice solving probability problems while having fun.

I would use this activity as a way to practice solving probability with my students. You could use this activity in almost any format needed - whole or small group, or even assign it as an individual practice activity! This code breaker activity will help your seventh-grade students to master probability problems through fun by challenging questions.

Students must solve 20 problems in order to figure out how to open a safe!

This is a Google Form activity. There are no links to outside websites. The four parts are set with answer validation: students cannot move to the next part until they solve all the problems.

It is always a good strategy to review essential skills with your students, and this is right up there with the most essential!

Do tall students jump high and far? Do the same students jump high and far? Students collect their own quantitative data to answer these and other questions. The data collection does not take long. Afterwards, students calculate the measures of central tendency - mean, median, mode, Q1, Q3, min, max, range and upper and lower outliers (extremes). The handout (with complete answer key for the teacher) contains the formulas students need in order to do all calculations.

This project has been tried, tested and refined in my own middle and high school classes for many years.
