This Valentine's Day themed activity is a fun way to practice the writing conventions involved with writing conversations. Students will use the inspiration of Conversation Hearts to writes a conversation. They will practice writing with quotation marks and the conventions involved.

Students can also have the opportunity to practice oral presentations by using Conversation Hearts to create conversation. They will work with a partner to design and present a conversation.

Students will also be able to write a story using the Conversation Hearts as a starting point and using specific parameters.

Teaching French Valentine's Day - La Saint Valentin vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

This taboo game is included in my French Valentine's Day Lesson Plan + Activities BUNDLE.

All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels!  You are going to love hearing your students speaking in French to each other about Valentine's Day.

French Taboo Games Growing Bundle

Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.
