Protestant Reformation Walk of Fame Project: 6th Grade Studies Weekly Week 26

Protestant Reformation Walk of Fame:
Students will create a Hollywood Star style Walk of Fame showcasing important reformers of the Protestant Reformation. They will randomly be assigned a reformer which they will research. Students can also answer follow up questions for increased rigor.
Students will decide what type of reformation in which their individual was involved: scientist, soldier, scholar, religious leader, or royalty. They will also determine five important facts concerning this reformer.
Creativity will be put on display with students choosing their star color and deciding how to write their information on their star.
Reformers include: John Wycliffe, Galileo, William Tyndale, Joan of Arc, Martin Luther, John Calvin, King Henry VIII, Queen Mary I, Queen Elizabeth I, Johannes Gutenberg.
Follow up questions increase rigor of this project.
This project aligns with Indiana Social Studies Standard 6.H.9.

Francophone Country Winter Holiday INDIVIDUAL French Project

Tired of the same French Christmas Projects and looking for something a little more inclusive? Most of your students are probably already pretty familiar with how we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, and Valentine's Day in the United States. But have they ever heard of La Chandeleur, La Fête des Rois, Jour des Aieux, Carnaval, or dozens of other holidays celebrated throughout the Francophone world from December through February?
This flexible project is a great way to expose your students to a wide variety of cultural traditions and practices in a short amount of time with minimal effort on your part!
Each student will pick a francophone country from a set of preprinted cards, select 2 winter holidays to research, and create a slide presentation to teach the rest of the class what they have learned. Optional graphic organizers are perfect for diverse learners and guided notes keep students engaged and learning during presentations!

Climate Change's Impact on Human Migration for Use in with Google Slides™

In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.
