The perfect writing assignment for the month of December or any month of the year! This holiday informational/explanatory writing assignment gives students the opportunity to learn about different holidays around the world. Students will be assigned or choose a holiday to research and then write their own informative essay. There are two pages giving different holidays to research, but you can also write your own holidays in if you would like. Students can use the graphic organizer to help organize their ideas before writing their explanatory essay. Engage your students in a festive exploration of holidays around the world with this comprehensive research and writing activity.
