Women in American History Series
Women of the American Revolution Reading Assignment and Worksheet
This quick four-page Reading Assignment and Worksheet provides an overview of the various activities, attributes and activities of women during the Revolutionary Era. It works well as a Guided Reading activity or as an exercise for Reading Comprehension.
It covers the time period 1763, the end of the French and Indian War and through the American Revolution to 1783. Due to increasing pressures from Great Britain, colonists began to resist and women, for the first time, became involved on a political level as activists. Students can read this on their own as a homework assignment or it can be a group activity in a classroom. Ideal for any grade. It is never too early for children to learn about important mathematical figures
Have a classroom display resource to get your students talking and interested in the many branches of Mathematics.
You can put them up on the wall or be creative and hang them from a washing line that stretches across your classroom.
The timeline ranges from Pythagoras born in 570 BC to Joseph Kruskal born in 1928 AD.

The idea is for your students to spark an interest, perhaps research a bit more about them or even discover others. Does your state/country have a famous Mathematician and what did they discover.
It will also get students thinking about what career they could follow with a good qualification in Math.
The world is definitely their oyster!!
