This set of 7 Hispanic Heritage Month Music and Dance Styles Reading Comprehension Passages is a vibrant collection that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Hispanic community.

Each passage focuses on a different music or dance style, providing an engaging exploration of its history, significance, and influence.

Creating & Editing Audio and Music in Audacity gives students an opportunity to learn how to create and edit audio and music files for use in projects. Oh, the kids and this game. Well, might as well learn something? I cut out construction paper squares of the following colors: Purple, Blue, Yellow, Grey, Red, Orange, and Pink A FORTNITE character (or characters) are shown on the screen along with different rhythms in different colored boxes. Which colored box of rhythms goes with the character on the screen? Line up the syllables and find out! I mix it up by putting students into teams of 2 and letting them work through the activity or you can have them play individually by themselves. Or maybe even a race to the board to see which one is right (all you have to do is advance the slide and the answer will appear!) There are 9 different examples of rhythms. The kids will LOVE seeing Fortnite up in your room (and don't worry, this is ALL family friendly, no mentions of violence or weapons in here) :) HAVE FUN!

Come along on this journey of building and rebuilding as hedgehog has to maneuver around the log to create a new home! Use the steady beat chant to have your students chant along as hedgehog tries to move the log. The ultimate Boys vs Girls competition! If you're working on notes of the treble clef staff, this is a fun way for kids to competitively spell them out. First, we made a boys side (on the left of the screen) and girls side on the (on the right). A word will appear and the students have 10 seconds to spell the word out (there is a timer attached to the powerpoint and it will count down as soon as the slide appears). This games works best on a whiteboard that has magnetic backing as I print out notes and have the kids race as fast as they can to put them on. After the kids lock in their answer, the next slide reveals the notes. For notes that have F's and E's, the answer key has both top line, top space notes -- those F's and E's both count! :) Some are easy (CAB, DAB, DAD), some get a little tricky (BECCA, CABBAGE, DECADE) and so on. Towards the end they repeat, and feel free to edit and make your own! Have fun with this and if you have any questions, let me know!

You need to print

All. The. Sticky. Notes!

These sticky-note templates are staffs with the Bass Clef that you can print on and use for anything you need to show to students to place in notebooks or method books, or whatever other needs you have with your students!

The PDF file allows you to print off a master copy of the page you want to use. After printing the master page, simply place blank sticky-notes on the master page and put the page back into the printer!

This entire document is 5 pages, which includes:

1. Document information and Printing instructions
2. 3"x3" page with a title line
3. 3"x3" page without a title line
4. 2"x2" page with a title line
5. 2"x2" page without a title line
6. A Blank 3"x3" page to line up your sticky-notes
7. A Blank 2"x2" page to line up your sticky-notes

The 3"x3" pages hold 9 sticky notes on the page. the 2"x2" pages hold 12 sticky notes on the page.

You can print as many masters as you need to print multiple sticky-notes at a time. However, you may not share this document with teachers, so please encourage your coworkers to purchase their own copy of this sticky-note template.

Use this wonderful book from Jason Lefebvre to teach and reinforce half notes! Chant this by giving the words "glue", "you" and "do" an extra beat and then ask your students to determine how many beats these words get. Have them move like they're stuck in glue while chanting to internalize the beat. Then use the beat chart and worksheet provided to learn and decode the half note beat. Add rhythm sticks to play the beats as a way to add in instruments. Adaptable for grades PreK-2nd grade.

Included are some pretty hefty Orff arrangements for your advanced groups! On the powerpoint, all arrangements are color coded and marked with letters for easy rote teaching. The first arrangement is a piece called "The Zoo" which is 8 measures long and is intended to be repeated. The bass has a bordoun in the beginning and splits into a bass line in the second part. The alto provides chords and the soprano the melody The second arrangement, Untitled, has a lovely assortment of indepenent parts and a haunting E minor intro section. The next section gets more rhythmic in the sopranos as the alto takes over the melody along with the bass Enjoy these advanced arrangements!

While you trim the tree, don't forget to trim the staff as well!
